The UMA OAuth profile has the following main phases [16]:Protect a resource—the protected resource is registered to the authorization server, with a list of security policies required for the resource access. The authorization server and the resource server are communicating through an OAuth-based API.

Get authorization—the IoT device sends an access request to the resource server and obtains an authorization token by using an OAuth-based authorization API.
